Electrolube will headline at the ELCINA EMS Conference at Productronica India (23-25 September 2014, Bangalore), the country’s foremost event for electronics manufacturing and test. Phil Kinner, Electrolube’s Technical Director of the International Conformal Coatings Division, will present a paper on conformal coatings at the conference, entitled: ‘Material + Process = Product Reliability’. ELCINA is India’s oldest and largest Electronics Association, promoting manufacturing and business development in Electronics and IT. Mr Kinner will also be speaking at ELCINA’s Technology Exchange Forum.
During the presentation, Mr Kinner will stress the importance of conformal coatings for the prevention of corrosion and examine the vital role that conformal coating processes have to play regarding the long-term reliability of electronic components and circuit boards, particularly those deployed in environmentally demanding applications. The presentation will also outline the types of conformal coatings available to manufacturers, the standards towards which manufacturers are obliged to work, when selecting and applying conformal coatings, and the critical nature of the coating process on which the success of the corrosion protection measures will depend.
Padmanabha Shaktivelu, Sales Manager of Electrolube India, said “We are delighted to participate in the ELCINA conference as a main sponsor and to have the opportunity to share our expertise in conformal coating technologies with the local electronics community. Our business in India is growing faster than anywhere else in the world and we have responded to the needs of the Indian market with large investments in warehousing, highly qualified personnel, new premises in Bangalore and a programme of educational seminars, which have proved extremely popular. We can see India overtaking China as the global electronics manufacturing hub in the not-too-distant future and Electrolube is in a strong position to meet the increasing needs of local manufacturers with our specialist chemicals for electronics, automotive and industrial manufacturing.”
Electrolube will also be exhibiting on booth 3193 at Productronica India, where the company will launch the fast-dry UVCL UV cure conformal coating and the PE7500 clear polyester resin. Electrolube coatings are available in acrylic, silicone, polyurethane and hybrid materials, and are UL, MIL and IPC-CC-830 approved. UV cure and water-based options are offered, and coatings that are solvent-removable or solvent-resistant can be supplied.
