Electro-chemicals specialist, Electrolube will be taking a booth (number 3193) at Productronica India, which takes place at the BIEC, Bangalore on 23-25 September 2014.
Productronica India is an important platform for international companies keen to present their production technologies to India’s emerging electronics manufacturing market. Closely allied to the world’s leading trade fair, Munich based Productronica, the Bangalore event is co-located with Electronica India.
Electrolube will be showcasing two new products at Productronica India – a UV cure conformal coating (UVCL) and the new PE7500 clear polyester resin.
UVCL is the next generation of VOC-free conformal coatings. It is a low viscosity, single-part product, which cures within seconds of exposure to the correct dose of UV light. It has been specifically designed to offer the highest level of protection for PCBs and can be applied using selective spray equipment. It is RoHS-2 compliant (2011/65/EU) and meets the requirements of IPC-CC-830 and IEC-61086.
Electrolube conformal coatings are available in acrylic, silicone, polyurethane and hybrid materials, and are UL, MIL and IPC-CC-830 approved. UV cure and water-based options are offered, and coatings that are solvent-removable or solvent-resistant can be supplied. UVCL features at-a-glance:
• Dual cure system; secondary moisture cure for full cure, even in shadow areas;
• Eliminates the use of solvents; VOC-free and non-flammable coating;
• No dilution required; low viscosity, ready to use for selective spray application;
• Ultimate protection in harsh environments, including high humidity, corrosive and chemical atmospheres.
PE7500 is a clear amber, flexible encapsulation resin which, thanks to its ‘digoutable’ properties, allows easy removal of cured material from broken or defective units. It uses an innovative blend of technologies to provide the performance afforded by polyurethane resins whilst removing the associated health hazards. PE7500 is RoHS-2 Compliant (2011/65/EU).
PE7500 features at-a-glance:
• Isocyanate free; high performance, flexible resin which does not use hazardous isocyanates to cure;
• Excellent hardness stability over a wide temperature range; flexible at temperature extremes;
• Low moisture sensitivity during and after cure; exhibits excellent electrical properties;
• Soft, re-enterable; aids ease of rework.
The company’s range of encapsulation resins are available in epoxy, polyurethane and silicone formulations with specific properties designed to protect and insulate printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components from the threats of harsh and challenging environments, including moisture, vibration, thermal or physical shock and general contamination.
