Klapp has introduced the lead free soldering station model no. 9009 with latest technology and host of new user friendly features. Mainly the heater used is a high frequency one which makes heat recovery faster at lower temperatures giving an incredible temperature compensation speed and solving the temperature recovery problems which occur during the course of lead free soldering. It has a very fast heating speed and reaches a temperature of 350oC in 25 secs from room temp. and since it provides sufficient power which varies with the size of the soldering point it effectively avoids negative impact of cold soldering. Since it uses high frequency lower temp the life of the bits is also effectively longer. Its biggest USP is that the bits and heater are separate (not integrated) thus giving all the plus points of lead free and removing the minus point of changing the bit with heater which is a costly affair. In the functionality part they have added an auto sleep mode which will lower temp. to 200oC when not in use for over 20 mins. And will shut off if not used for 40 mins. Temperature can be locked by password to prevent inadvertent changes thus eliminating the need of keeping cards etc. for locking. It has 16 different working modes which also differentiate the way of working and the wattage used between 60W and 90W and give you a temperature range from 50oC to 600oC and also 200oC to 480oC.
